All Funimation content will be moved to Crunchyroll

The platforms crispy roll issued a press release announcing the merger of the content of entertainment and its subsidiary wakanimwith crispy roll and its subsidiary VRVon a single platform that will be crispy roll. The statement indicates that all content will be moved crispy roll and that all upcoming series will be distributed exclusively on crispy rollprompting fans to create an account immediately.

The guide writes the following aspects:

• Funimation and Wakanim content will be moved to Crunchyroll. What does that mean?
  • Beginning March 1, 2022, existing and new Crunchyroll subscribers will have access to the previously exclusive Funimation and Wakanim catalog and simulcast content. All new series for the upcoming Spring 2022 season will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll. Funimation and Wakanim will continue to only add new episodes from current series.
• I have both Crunchyroll and Funimation subscriptions, should I cancel one of them?
  • All new series starting in the next spring season will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll by the end of March 2022, as well as 80% of the most popular series currently in the Funimation and Wakanim catalogs on Crunchyroll are Crunchyroll subscriptions You’re good to go and you can cancel your Crunchyroll subscription at any time! • Can I access Crunchyroll with my Funimation credentials?
  • Not yet. If you’re a Funimation, Wakanim, or VRV subscriber, the best way to get access to all the new series is to purchase a new Crunchyroll subscription. Please note that your existing Funimation digital copies, viewing history or save list will not be transferred to Crunchyroll yet, but we are working on it.
• Can I access my viewing history and Funimation queue on Crunchyroll?
  • We’re working on it! You’ve been working really hard to catch up on all your streaks, so we’re working hard to find a solution to transfer your history and queue. As soon as it’s ready, we’ll let you know.
• Can I now manage my Funimation account through Crunchyroll since it’s the same company?
  • No, please continue to manage your accounts independently for the time being. Please note that you cannot currently view your digital copies, viewing history, or Funimation queue on Crunchyroll, but we are working on it.
• What happens to my digital copy at Funimation?
  • You can still access your digital copy by logging into your Funimation account, but you won’t be able to view it through Crunchyroll. We will notify you if there are any changes in this regard.
