During this weekend, the American website conducted various surveys on anime, Anime trend, announced at a cyber gala for the most voted titles on its platform. This voting was open for a few weeks and consisted of a variety of categories.
These are the Inferme’s most outstanding categories and winners.
Anime of the year: Akudama Drive (Pierrot Studios).
Best girl: Chizuru Mizuhara (Kanojo, Okarishimasu).
Best Boy: Yu Ishigami (Kaguya-sama: love is war).
Best Supportive Female Figure: Echidna (Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu).
Best Supporting Male Figure: Otto Suwen (Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu).
Best couple: Nasa and Tsukasa (Tonikaku Kawaii).
Best opening theme: Masayuki Suzuki, together with Airi Suzuki with the song “DADDY! DADDY! DO!” (Kaguya-sama: love is war).
Best final topic: ALI with the song “Lost in Paradise” (Jujutsu Kaisen).

The series premiered on October 8th in Japan and had a total of twelve episodes Funimation Sales worldwide including Mexico and Brazil. This series was originally scheduled to premiere in July 2020 but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In terms of sales of its Blu-ray / DVD volumes, the former barely sold 183 copies in its first week.
- Studio Pierrot Y. To kyo games were credited with the original idea while Kazutaka Kodaka ((Danganronpa) the original story was credited.
- Tomohiro Taguchi ((Kino no tabi, Sousei no Omyouji) was responsible for directing the anime in the studios Pierrotwith the support of Yoshifumi Sasahara ((Kuzu no honkai, Kino no tabi).
- Norimitsu Kaihou ((Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen: Mirai Hen, Gakkou Gurashi!) was responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
- Cindy H. Yamauchi adapted the original character designs from Rui komatsuzaki for animation.
- Aida Shigekazu was responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.
Akudama Drive Synopsis
The bustling metropolis of Kansai, where cyber screens pollute the neon landscape, may seem like a technological utopia at first glance. But in the dark alleys around the shiny buildings there are still a number of ruthless refugee criminals known as “Akudama”.
Nobody is unaware of the existence of these people and the Kansai Police have started the countdown to the public execution of Akudama known as the “Assassin” who was guilty of the murder of 999 people. However, some Akudama received a mysterious message with the mission to save “Assassin” for a large amount of money. A mastermind tries to gather these dangerous people in one place to make sure that the execution of the plan is carried out perfectly and turns into a full blown bloodbath if necessary.
