Remember that the anime adaptation of the manga was written and illustrated by Takeshi hinata, Ahiru no Sora reached the climax of the action in the match between Kuzuryuu High School and Yokohama Taiei High School and started a special countdown project as only two episodes at the end of the series.
The project consists in releasing the eight opening and closing sequences with no credits previously used in production so that viewers can enjoy all of the songs that have been used in a full year of the show’s airing. The first publication contains the first opening theme of The pillows and entitled “Happy Go Ducky!” and the first final song of Saji and entitled “Tsubasa”.
For its part, the anime premiered in Japan on October 2nd and will last four arcs, that is, 50 episodes. Hinata began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in December 2003 and is still in the process of being published. The publisher released the fifty-first volume compiled in June 2019.
