Since its announcement, expectations for the anime adaptation of 86: Eighty-six have skyrocketed in the light of an original light novel with a large readership. The series is currently enjoying some success and big news in the coming months cannot be ruled out.

Sure, the production of 86: Eighty Six has not been easy since the studio A-1 pictures had to postpone the broadcast of the anime twice, particularly the release of Episode 7, which was originally scheduled for November 14th, and the following one that won't see the light of day until December 5th.

The first season of 86: Eighty Six is actually made up of 23 episodes but is broken into two parts, a technical choice dictated by production requirements. Despite some difficulties, the series still enjoys decent appreciation, so the team has officially announced a special event that it is due to take place April 10, 2022 and which the cast will attend for live performances. Such an event could be the ideal showcase for the announcement of a possible sequel, Confirmations, which we won't get to know until the next few weeks, maybe on the occasion of the last episode.
