Princess Connect! Re:Dive 2 – Chapter 7: Menu 7 – The mischievous fairy ~A Heart in the Mist~
On his return after a job that ‘Gourmet Guild‘ they meet two girls who are being chased by bees, whom they help. They introduce themselves as Ayane (alongside her best friend and family Pukichi as a bear on her gun) and Kurumi, members of the ‘Sarendia Orphanage‘. Now all together, on the way to Cockatrice’s nest To eat, they meet Chika, who has an unusual behavior, and take her away to take care of her while Yuuki goes looking for Nozomi.
Once he finds her and they start talking about Chika’s behavior, Kurumi acts completely different than normal. Something that also affected Puchiki and the owner Cockatrice’s nest. Thanks to the power of Pukichi residing within Chika’s body, she then reveals that she went in search of the fairy Foggy to try and help Yuuki regain his memories.
Pecorine and Karyl go to where Foggy was sealed while the others stay behind to help “normalize” the situation. But with the return of Karyl and Pecorine along with a magical artifact, Foggy is left open which leads to a fight against him. Yuuki gets involved in an attack to protect Pecorine, but it helps him remember more of his past. Yuuki comes to his senses and uses his support to power up Chika and Nozomi and put an end to the matter.
What do you want? And that for such a little girl!
Despite the fact that in the first season the ‘Sarendia Orphanage‘, not all of its members did Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 7, where two (technically three) new ones were introduced: Ayane, Pukichi and Kurumi.
Ayane is a somewhat childish-looking girl who accompanies Pukichi everywhere and everywhere. It seems he’s a ventriloquist, but Pukichi really is a different being. I find her a fun character, but like Kurumi, she doesn’t seem exactly the “older sister” despite looking older than Kurumi.
the seiyu who cares about Ayane’s voice Yu Serizawawho also spoke: Shera L Greenwood (“Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu“), Iroha Igarashi (“3D Kanojo“), ueno (“Ueno-san no Bukiyou“), mayura otomi (“Sousei no Onmyouji“), Youko Shiragami (“Jitsu wa Watashi wa“), among other.
Kurumi has an appearance that shows she is younger than Ayane, but despite her shy and withdrawn personality, I have a feeling they are the same age and are only “a few days” apart. For what is shown in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 7, it seems he likes to read a very specific type of books, something I was amused to see as he started yelling everything he had read in that book.
Kana Ueda is the seiyu Kurumi’s manager. the seiyu He has worked on other characters such as: Rin Toosaka (“destiny series“), Chicago Izumi (“Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica“), Nami Aoi (“Aki Sora“), yumi fukuzawa (“Maria-sama ga Miteru“), subaru saotome (“Kaichou wa Maid-sama!“), Etc.
It was nice to see Ayane and Kurumi, mostly because they are very fond of Saren, even going so far as to have Ayane call her “Mama Saren”. That’s exactly what I find ‘Sarendia Orphanage‘ represents very well the family relationship between the members.
An unexpected breakthrough in Princess Connect! Subject: Dive 2 – Chapter 7
There is one thing that always intrigues me Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 7, the fact that Chika decided to search for a way for Yuuki to regain his lost memories. I mean, this should be the second time they appear in the anime and yet it seems like their relationship as friends is pretty close. Something I don’t remember came to this point in the previous chapters. In fact, I remember Nozomi being “closest” to Yuuki from “Carmina Guild” in her episode.
So I feel like they missed something, not necessarily in the introductory episode of the ‘Carmine Guild‘ but between this bow and this one.
Chika’s efforts weren’t in vain either, as they featured a new look back at Yuuki’s past. One that learned a lot more from him and that I felt changed him, a lot more than the previous ones. See the characters of Hiyori, Rei and Yui. Which I won’t talk about because they were very rarely seen on screen, but I think they had a great bond with Yuuki and vice versa, especially Yuuki and Yui.
But I also have to admit that I loved Yuuki’s stance just as he was coming to his senses after seeing his memories. He looked much more serious and trustworthy. Something I’ve been waiting a long time to see the character continue to do because while his actions and current personality are fun, there’s come a point where I’d like to see him in a leading role in battles and not so much in to be the princess to save. While I don’t necessarily want to see it either, I think there should be a lot more plot progression for it to happen.
A friendship that looks like family
From the start, Pecorine’s relationship with Karyl was a little “weird.” Although at first it appeared Karyl knew Pecorine’s true identity because of Her Majesty, in Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 7 I could confirm that she really knows, but at the same time she “forgot” that she is. By that I mean that when I was originally in the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ To keep an eye on Princess Eustiana, there came a point where that faded into the background and he now recognizes Pecorine more as his ‘target’.
That in itself got me thinking about how Pecorine sees Karyl. Well, the conspiratorial part of my head has already formed a theory that Pecorine somehow knows or suspects Karyl is being used by Her Majesty and is being nice to her because he wants to save her. This is of course pure speculation on my part.
With the passing of episodes in anime Princess Connect! Re: Diving (in both the first and this second season), I think the relationship between Pecorine and Karyl is the one that is reflected in the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ among all possible combinations of members. Above that of Kokkoro and Yuuki (who was “stuck” in my opinion) or that of the protagonist with Pecorine or Karyl, although Yuuki has already been shown to share a team with Pecorine in his memory. Secure your ‘Jump’ to protect them Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 7 might indicate that he’s starting to recognize her, but it seems to me that this progression between characters is so weak that he didn’t do it because of his past, but because of his henceforth self Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2.
The trailer for the next chapter showed Yuuki speaking more seriously to Labyrista while Kokkoro was apparently helping another guild alone. So I’m hoping to see a little more development for both characters.
