The weekly Shonen Jump magazine, the most famous in the world and published by the Shueisha house, only takes a few breaks a year. Two take place over Christmas, one during Golden Week and the last in Obon. This means that ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia, Black Clover and the other manga in the magazine will soon be forced to take a break.
Indeed We are approaching the Golden Week, a week of holidays for the Japanese, and for this reason they often use the time for short vacations. As every year, the Golden Week of the Japanese takes place from April 29th to May 5th, starting with the holidays on Showa Day and ending with Children’s Day.
Many Japanese companies will close completely during this time and Shueisha with Weekly Shonen Jump is no exception. After the release on Monday April 26th (with the chapters arriving on MangaPlus on April 25th), ONE PIECE and the others will return on Monday May 10th (Sunday, May 9th on MangaPlus), so that a week is skipped.
This means ONE PIECE fans will have to wait two weeks after Chapter 1011, and that goes for manga readers like My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and all other Japanese weekly magazines as well.
