Hagiwara started publishing the manga on the app Comic days from the publisher Kodansha in April 2019. The publisher published the fifth compilation volume on August 11th and the sixth on November 11th in Japan. In mid-October there were more than 800,000 copies in circulation.
Synopsis of Musume no Tomodachi
Kosuke lived by interpreting his “ideal self” as a father at home and a manager at work. However, his life turns 180 degrees when he meets his daughter’s boyfriend. In front of her Kosuke could show his true personality and his exhausted heart finally knew peace.
He knows, however, that these are feelings that should never be sustained, let alone revealed.
