It was announced that the manga written and illustrated by Kaishaku, Kannazuki no Miko, has started the serialization of a new spin-off manga titled Himekami no Miko. The work began its serialization in the July edition of the magazine Dengeki Maoh from the publisher Kadokawa, published today.

Kannazuki no Miko

The Kaishaku duo started publishing the original manga in the magazine Shonen ace by the Kadokawa publishing house in October 2004 and completed in 2005. The publisher compiled the work in a total of two volumes.

This manga inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. TNK under the direction of Tetsuya Yanagisawa, and released in October 2004.

For his part, Kaishaku is made up of artists Hitoshi Ota and Terumasa Shichinohe. Other works by this duo include Steel Angel Kurumi, Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto, UFO Princess Valkyrie and Koishiro to Towa no Sora.

Synopsis of Kannazuki no Miko

The shy Himeko loves Chikane, the beautiful and brilliant "princess" of the exclusive school for foreigners. She has been looking forward to her 16th birthday with great excitement for weeks. But on that fateful day, a shrine appears in the sky, giant robots destroy the school, and Himeko discovers that she is the reincarnation of the Sun Priestess, while Chikane is the reincarnation of the Moon Priestess.

As darker secrets are revealed only one thing becomes clear ... their lives will never be the same.
