On the official page for the manga adaptation of the original anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou, Realized by Tomato acasethe cover of the first compilation tape was revealed, to be released in Japan on November 4th.

Akase began publishing the manga through the website Young ace up from the publisher Kadokawa in October of this year, parallel to the start of the anime that is currently being broadcast. The manga has a new chapter every Friday.

On the other hand, the series has aired since October 1st and is confirmed with a total of 24 episodes. The second arc (consisting of episodes 14-24) will premiere on January 7, 2021. This new series recently confirmed that it is neither a reboot nor a remake of the original, but a new story.

Summary of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou

On a warm summer day in 1983, transfer student Maebara Keiichi arrived in a peaceful rural town in Hinamizawa. There he befriends his classmates Rena, Mion, Rika and Satoko. Keiichi and the gang, who are recognized as official members of the "Club", practice various activities such as card and board games as well as hide and seek.

But just as Keiichi was getting used to rural life, he came across the dark story behind Hinamizawa. When Keiichi reveals this dark secret, he discovers that his new friends may not be what they appear to be.
