The leaks in the next issue of the magazine Weekly shonen jump, scheduled for September 27 in Japan, confirmed that the manga by Riichiro inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, Dr. stone, is about to enter his latest story arc. The manga won’t have a new chapter in this year’s 44th issue of the magazine, which is slated for October 4th, so the final arc will begin a week later.

Inagaki and Boichi started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly shonen jump from the publisher Shueisha in March 2017. The publisher published the twenty-first anthology on June 4th, followed by the twenty-second on August 4th in Japan. The piece inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. TMS entertainment, Headed by Shinya Iino and scripts written by Yuichiro Kido, premiered in July 2019. A second season of eleven episodes premiered in January 2021 and will confirm a sequel at the end of the broadcast.
Summary of Dr. Stone
After five years of unspoken feelings, high school student Taiju Ooki is finally ready to confess his love to Yuzuriha Ogawa. But just as Taiju begins his confession, a blinding green light hits the earth and petrifies humanity all over the world and turns every human being to stone. Several millennia later, Taiju awakens to find that the modern world is completely non-existent as nature thrived in the years of human stasis.
In the midst of a stone world of statues, Taiju meets another living person: his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has been active for several months. Taiju learns that Senkuu has come up with a grand plan: to start the full rebirth of civilization with science. Taiju’s strength and Senkuu’s brain form a formidable partnership, and they soon discover a way to revive the petrified. However, Senkuu’s master plan is threatened when his ideologies are challenged by those who are awakening. The reason why mankind became petrified is now unknown.
