The author Tomo Takeuchi announced on his Twitter account that the manga Ballroom and Youkoso won’t have a new chapter in this year’s 11th issue of the magazine Monthly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodanshanext October 6th.

Takeuchi stated that the interruption was due to the introduction of a new work system and the replacement of its assistants, which delayed the writing process. The author plans to resume the manga as usual starting November this year.

The manga took a major hiatus between December 2017 and July 2019 as the author’s health deteriorated. Finally, after other pauses, the work resumed normal publication in July of that year. Takeuchi began publishing the manga in Kodansha Publishing’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2011. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume on January 17th.

The piece inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Production IG, Headed by Yoshimi Itazu and scripts written by Kenichi Suemitsu, published July 2017.
