An update confirmed that the manga was written and illustrated by Tatsuya-Endo, SPY x FAMILY, has exceeded 12 million accumulated copies in circulation. The count also includes digital copies sold and the first edition of the eighth compilation volume, which will be released in Japan on November 4th. The statement also included the cover of this upcoming eighth volume.

SPY x FAMILY

Tatsuya, for his part, began publishing the manga through the website Shonen Jump Plus from the publisher Shueisha in March 2019. The publisher published the sixth anthology on December 28th, followed by the seventh on June 4th in Japan. The work had exceeded 11 million accumulated copies in June.

It should be noted that as of May 2020, reliable sources for this website have confirmed that the popular manga by Tatsuya-Endo would have an anime adaptation, and since then we’ve confirmed it will be released in 2022. However, so far neither the official announcement nor the release date has been made official, although a notice was already given in a recently published interview that was later modified.

SPY x FAMILY table of contents

For the agent known as “Twilight”, no job is too high when it is for the sake of peace. As Westalis’ main spy, Twilight works tirelessly to prevent extremists from unleashing war with neighboring Ostania. For his final mission, he must investigate the Ostania politician Donovan Desmond, who is infiltrating his son’s school: the prestigious Eden Academy. The agent is thus faced with the most difficult task of his career: getting married, having children and playing with the family.

Twilight, or “Loid Forger,” quickly adopts the humble orphan Anya to play the role of a six-year-old daughter and a potential student at Eden Academy. As a wife, she meets Yor Briar, an absent-minded office worker who needs the wrong partner to impress her friends. Loid isn’t the only one with a hidden nature, however. Yor is actually the deadly assassin “Thorn Princess” and for her, marrying Loid is the perfect disguise. Now, Anya is not the ordinary girl she appears to be; she is an esper, the product of secret experiments that enable her to read minds. Despite discovering her true identity, Anya is happy that her new parents are cool secret agents! Of course she would never tell them. That would ruin the fun.
