The publisher’s development department Shueisha and the editorial staff of the magazine Weekly Shonen jump announced the opening of the Shueisha Startup Accelerator Program: Manga Tech 2020 project. The show is looking for fans to share ideas on how to change the future of the manga industry, accelerate industry development and bring industry up to date.

The program is essentially looking for business proposals from companies and individuals for the manga industry, character licenses and publishers. The program will accept ideas by September 30th. The ideas are scheduled to be published in late October to late November.

The winner of the winning idea will receive one million yen (approximately 9,300 yen) to help implement the proposal, and the two finalists will receive 500,000 yen (approximately 4,600 USD) and 100,000 yen (approximately 930 USD).
