On the official page for the manga series by Makoto Sanada and illustrated by Kudan Nazuka, Satsuriku no TenshiIt was reported that the work had more than 2.4 million copies in circulation in its 11 published compilation volumes.
Sanada and Nazuka publish the manga in the magazine Monthly comic gene from the publisher Kadokawa since 2015. On March 27, the publisher published the eleventh compilation volume. The work adapts the horror video game of the same name, which was developed by RPG Maker and distributed free of charge through the website The Fami Nico game magazine As of August 2015. The game was then published on the platform steam in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean from December 2016.
The franchise has inspired several manga adaptations and a 16-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. J.C. Employee, Headed by Kentarou suzuki and scripts from Yoshinobu Fujioka, published July 2018.
