Suzuki started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen magazine from the publisher Kodansha completed in October 2012 and March 2020 with a total of 41 compilation volumes.

The piece has inspired other spin-off mangas and animations. The first season of the anime had 24 episodes produced by the studios. From season three, however, there was a change in the animation studio. The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of knights from the Kingdom of Britannia who dissolved ten years ago because of treason and a coup d'état against the Kingdom of Lyon and its Holy Knights.

Liones' third princess, Elizabeth Liones, meets Meliodas, the leader of the seven deadly sins, and asks him to help save the honor of the Holy Knights, who are being manipulated by a demonic entity. Meliodas will then begin to reunite his companions, while several threats will attempt to destroy peace every time they receive it.
