A press release reported that the manga was written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda, Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu ((Komi cannot communicate) has exceeded the 5.2 million copies in circulation of his twenty compilation volumes published to date.

For his part, Oda began publishing the manga through the magazine in May 2016 Weekly Shonen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan. The publisher released the 19th compiled volume on November 18th, followed by the 20th on February 18th in Japan.

A rumor recently surfaced in China via the social network Weibo prompted the production of an anime adaptation.and although the leak is from a completely trustworthy account, not yet officially confirmed.

Synopsis of Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu

It is Shouko Komi's first day at the prestigious Itan Private Academy and she has already achieved Madonna status at the school. With long black hair and a tall, graceful appearance, she will grab the attention of everyone who comes across her. There is only one problem, however: despite her popularity, Shouko is terrible at communicating with others.

Hitohito Tadano is an average student. With the motto of his life, "Read the situation and avoid trouble," he quickly discovers that sitting next to Shouko has made him an enemy of everyone in his class. One day, Hitohito accidentally wakes up to the sound of Shouko's "meow". He lies that he didn't hear anything that made Shouko run away. But before he can escape, Hitohito suspects that Shouko can't just talk to others. In fact, he was never able to find a single friend. Hitohito decides to help Shouko in his goal of making a hundred friends so that he can overcome his communication disorder.
