On the official page for the manga written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa, Kakkou no Iinazuke ((The cuckoo’s fiancée) unveiled the cover of the fifth compiled volume, which will be released in Japan on January 17, 2021.

Yoshikawa started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in January 2020 after it was published within three one-shots in early 2019 and voted for serialization. The publisher released the fourth compiled volume on November 17 in Japan. It was recently announced that the first was Kodansha Publishing’s bestseller in 2020.

The author is known to have written the manga Yamada-kun to 7-nin no MajoKodansha-Verlag has compiled the work into a total of 28 volumes, and the manga inspired a twelve-episode anime directed by Tomoki Takuno in studies Liden Films and published in April 2015.

Synopsis of Kakkou no Iinazuke

Nagi Umino, a sophomore at a prestigious high school, discovers that he was mistakenly delivered from the hospital to another family when he was born. One day, on the way to his birth parents, he meets Erika Amano, a strange girl who tries to escape her parents’ arranged marriage. But Nagi and Erika discover that they have a lot more in common than they think!
