A leak confirmed that the manga was written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka, Grand Blue ((Grand Blue Dreaming) is resumed in this year’s fourth issue of the magazine Good! afternoon from the publisher Kodansha, scheduled for next March in Japan. The manga was suspended indefinitely in January because Kenji Inoue suffered from severe back pain from overuse.
Inoue and Yoshioka started publishing the manga in the magazine Good! afternoon from the publisher Kodansha in April 2014. The publisher released the fifteenth compiled volume on May 22nd and the sixteenth on November 20 in Japan. The work recently had more than six million copies in circulation.
The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Zero-Gunder the guidance and scripts of Shinji Takamatsu, released July 2018. So far there is no sign of a second season.
Synopsis of Grand Blue
Iori Kitahara is just starting his academic year at the university. He moves into his uncle’s dive shop, Grand Blue. He awaits the college life of his dreams, full of beautiful girls and good friends. But things are not going exactly according to plan. He meets a group of students who immediately force him to participate in their alcoholic activities. Although initially unwilling, Iori gives up quickly and becomes the party’s life. Unfortunately, this earns her the contempt of her cousin Chisa Kotegawa. Iori still promises to fulfill his ideal college life, but will things go according to plan this time?
