The weekly Shonen Jump magazine hosts some of the most popular series in manga culture, largely thanks to the fame of the magazine that has published titles the caliber of Dragon Ball and ONE PIECE. Perhaps one of the magazine's most original projects is sure to be Dr. stone.

Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi You have built a story set in a future where society has stepped back in time due to a mysterious event that petrified humanity for millions of years. The duo is currently working on the final saga of Dr. Stone and according to the pace of the manga a finale until 2022 or the first months of 2023 cannot be ruled out.

Either way, the series is hugely popular, even though the franchise doesn't have the same fan base as other titles in the magazine. As the 23rd Tankobon on the home straight confirms, Dr. Stone has officially exceeded 11 million copies sold, a key figure that confirms Shueisha's interest in continuing to invest in animation adaptation, which will add a third season in 2023.
