Riichiro Inagaki is a famous mangaka who wrote Eyeshield 21 in the 2000s, published in Weekly Shonen Jump, and drawn by the prolific and talented Yusuke Murata. A decade later, with Boichi, he returned to the magazine to find Dr. Stone, which celebrated its fourth anniversary.
In the past year, Inagaki took Dr. Stone tells with a long story arc that has taken us to different continents of the world. But now the story is drawing to a close. As the screenwriter announced, In fact, Dr. Stone can’t hold out much longer.
The first leaks from Weekly Shonen Jump # 43 have already confirmed some information. The first is the one in the next issue No. 44, which will be translated to MangaPlus on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021. Dr. Stone won’t be there. The manga will therefore take a week off to do mangaka research. The important news, however, concerns the next issue No. 45, which will be released on October 10, 2021.
It was confirmed that Dr. Stone will begin his final story arc. The science story of Senku Ishigamis is therefore drawing to a close, and he could be the first of Weekly Shonen Jump’s big names to welcome us in years to come. A situation to watch out for as Dr. Stone is very popular with readers of the Japanese magazine who have not been able to read it for more than a year.
Dr. STONE is taking a break from Weekly Shonen Jump Issue # 44 next week. The series continues as planned in issue # 45.
