On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Izumo Ito, Machikado Mazoku (The demon girl next door) a new promo image was released for the second season of the project. The press release confirmed that this second season would be titled “Machikado Mazoku 2-Chome“And that its premiere is planned for April 2022 in Japan.
Itou, in turn, publishes the manga in the magazine Manga time Kirara Carat from the publisher Houbunsha since 2014. In February 2021, the publisher published the sixth compilation volume in Japan. The piece inspired a twelve-part anime adaptation produced by the studios. JCSTAFF, Headed by Hiroaki Sakurai and scripts written by Keiichirou Ouchi, published in July 2019.

Summary of Machikado Mazoku
After a strange dream about a mysterious ancestor, high school student Yuuko Yoshida wakes up to see that she has grown demonic horns and a tail. Stunned and confused, her mother reveals a dark family secret: Her family comes from a dark clan that was exiled helplessly and helplessly by their mortal enemies, the magical girls of the Clan of Light. The only way to lift the curse of her ancestors is for Yuuko to find a magical girl, kill her, and spill her blood on the demon god statue of her ancestors.
Fortunately for “Shadow Mistress Yuuko”, a magical girl saves her from being hit by an oncoming truck. Unfortunately, Momo Chiyoda is Yuuko’s classmate at Sakuragaoka High School and is much stronger than her in both strength and endurance. The magical girl has sympathy for her weak aggressor and agrees to train Yuuko and help her to unleash her powers of sleep. Now Yuuko must rise and defeat her generous enemy friend to rescue her family from the terrible grip of poverty.
