Unveiled to the public during Tokyo Comic Con, Deadpool Samurai has grown into an incredibly successful manga that has proven to be a win for Marvel and Shueisha. The crossover comic quickly became one of the most read on Shonen Jump + with over half a million views per chapter, but apparently the two authors are already thinking about the conclusion.
The news comes directly from Shueisha, who confirmed a few hours ago that the manga by Hikaru Uesugi and Sanshirou Kasama it will culminate in the next chapter. This doesn’t mean the work will necessarily end with the next release, but it does open the doors to what the grand finale should be.
For those unfamiliar with the manga, keep in mind that Deadpool: Samurai began serializing on December 10, 2020 and then resumed release every two weeks. At the moment the work has 15 available chapters and only one published volume, with a second to be released July 2nd. In the story, the protagonist Deadpool separates from the main Avengers group and goes to Japan, where he fights crime with the help of the samurai squad. There is of course no shortage of quotes about My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer and many great works by Shonen Jump.
Deadpool: Samurai then enters the final arch and will likely end before the end of summer. Fortunately, we don’t have to say goodbye to the mercenary anytime soon, as Marvel Comics has already announced the new Deadpool Black White & Blood series.
“Deadpool: Samurai” by Hikaru Uesugi & Sanshirou Kasama will soon end in the Shounen Jump + web service.
