On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Baki the gripper, historical manga about the fight by Keisuke Itagaki, many writers and artists from Shonen Champion They decided to pay homage to the series by creating works of art, published by Akira Shoten in the current issue of the magazine.
Check out all of the celebratory illustrations from Shonen Champion’s great authors below, including the author’s daughter from Baki Paru Itagaki, already known for works of the caliber of Beastars and Sanda, Watanabe Wataru, Urushibara Yura and even authors from other magazines, including Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw man) e George Morikawa (Hajime no ippo).
Keisuke Itagaki started working on Baki in October 1991, thirty years ago. Serialization of the first series ended after eight years in the summer of 1999, and in the years that followed Itagaki began work on other projects related to the saga, including Baki Hanma and Baki Dou. Baki Hanma was the last series to receive an anime adaptation, available on Netflix starting today, September 30, 2021, with the first season.
