For many years now, Neon Genesis Evangelion has featured a relatively small cast of characters. Very few were the most important, and even fewer were the pilots of the giant robots. However, with the reboot in the 2000s, the characters haven’t stayed the same and over time there are some additions to renew the situation.
While the first film traced the story of the historic 90s television series fairly faithfully, some changes were made from the second onwards. One of them is for example the introduction of Mari Makinami Illustrious, new girl in the group of protagonists and another Eva pilot. The fourth child becomes an important part of the story of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and the next two films that conclude the tetralogy.
Japanese cosplayer Aoi wore Mari’s pink plug suit, as featured in the early films, and decided to pose for one Cosplay on the theme of Evangelion. In the photo below, the girl can be seen in an underground setting on what appears to be a staircase with a steel railing, while the pink stands out and adds color. this Mari Cosplay it looks perfect when you pick up the girl’s first uniform.
Still on Evangelion, there’s also a cosplay of Asuka in a red jumpsuit and a cosplay of Misato Katsuragi who wins.
