The Death Note anime is 15 years old: started shortly after the end of the manga, even the audience could see the twists and turns and the psychological struggles between Light and L, the interference of the death gods Ryuk and Rem, the intervention of Misa Amane and all the other characters created by Tsugumi Ohba.
Although it wasn’t a very long story – the publication had 108 chapters divided into 12 volumes – Death Note managed to make history. Many copies of Tankobon are sold in Japan, a very high number that has made it immortal. Ohba and Obata then went on to work as a couple on other series such as Bakuman and Platinum End, but none of them achieved prominence from their first official joint work.
The battle of attacks and counter-attacks between the two main competitors was interrupted by the intervention of Misa Amane, the first true female protagonist in history. Model and with a Gothic Lolita style, the girl has fascinated many (although not really the protagonist Light Yagami). Lulu Lottie tried to reproduce it in this one Cosplay of Misa Amane from Death Note Seen below where she wears a black gothic dress and carries a red apple, one of the icons in the series.
They associate apples with this cosplay of Ryuk, the Shinigami who is crazy about this fruit. Right now, however, the anime Platinum End, the duo’s latest series, is airing.
