Yu-Gi-Oh !: The animated series has hit a record thousand episodes

The animated series, inspired by the popular trading card game, has reached a milestone that is difficult to even imagine. In over twenty years of history Yu-Gi-Oh! reached a thousand episodes. Do you remember the first legendary episode?

With the 28th episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens broadcast on December 12th can celebrate the brand an unimaginable record at the time of the first episode. Following the Pokémon franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! is the second anime to reach 1,000 episodes aired.

This formidable figure, taking into account all the anime sagas, was celebrated on the brand’s official Twitter page. From 2000 until today, Yu-Gi-Oh! turned out to be one of the longest running franchises and valued in the world of animation.

The milestone was reached without counting the 27 episodes of the 1998 adaptation of Toei Animation that fans Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 0.
