Arrived as part of the Crunchyroll Winter 2021 catalog, Yashahime: Princess half-demon he collected the most nostalgic by continuing the adventures of Inuyasha, Kagome and Sesshoumaru. However, the focus of this new work is not on the three legendary protagonists, but on their daughters.

Towa, Setsuna and Moroha, the three half-demon princesses on which the title of the same name is based, took the audience back to feudal Japan. Each of the three protagonists is characterized by characteristic features and at the same time reminds of the Main characteristics of their parents. In particular, Moroha is the perfect incarnation of Inuyasha and Kagome.

Moroha was estranged from their parents when she was a toddler for fear that Kirinmaru might commit a cowardly act. The young princess was raised by the Wolf Demon tribe, but its members almost never mentioned the true story of Inuyasha and Kagome. Despite this premature separation, Moroha is strikingly similar to the two heroes of Rumiko Takahashi's work, both in appearance, personality and fighting style.

On an aesthetic level, Moroha is practical the copy of Kagome: From the hair to the shape of the face, everything is reminiscent of her mother. However, his clothes are taken from those of his father and even the red bow on his head is reminiscent of Inu Yasha's dog-ears.

Although she is the daughter of the two main protagonists of Inuyasha, the real heroine of Yashahime is not her, but the twins Setsuna and Towa. With only a quarter of demonic blood, since Inuyasha is a half demon and Kagome is human, Moroha's demonic power is well below that of her cousins.

However, Moroha has special abilities, such as an improved sense of smell or stamina inherited from her father. The girl even has very long nails that act as claws, allowing her to perform the Sankon Tesso. Plus, she can transform into Beniyasha. He gets a foretaste of the full force of his demonic inheritance. In combat, she later proves to be a talented archer and, like her mother Kagome, can even wield sacred objects.

But what makes Moroha practically identical to her parents is his personality. The girl is sunny and optimistic like Kagome, but just as childish and impulsive as Inuyasha. The way she collides with Setsuna and Towa is very similar to the way her father collides with Koga and Kagome. Moroha is incredibly stubborn, but just as brave and ready to fight for her friends.

We're reliving the ending of Yashahime, an epilogue that changed the three princesses forever. Yashahime returns with an animated second season in 2021.
