As Boruto: Naruto Next Generations struggles to repeat the success of its predecessor, Studio Pierrot may consider adapting the work’s story into an anime.
For some time Animated series Boruto deals with original sagas which do not fully convince the viewer. The situation is unlikely to change in the short term and a good way to reignite interest in the community would be to adapt Sasuke Retsuden’s story into the anime. On the other hand, the animation studio has already created an animated adaptation of the novel Konoha Shinden.
However, this hypothesis should probably be rejected. Indeed, Sasuke Retsuden is takes place between the end of Naruto Shippuden and the beginning of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
