The setting of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero took us right after the Molo saga, near the survivor Granolah. Understanding Akira Toriyama's handling of the narrative is certainly complex, but what can we expect in the eventuality of the sequel?
A few days ago, news was leaked about Dragon Ball Super 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the anime Naohiro Shintaniwhose work would be regularly continued in those TOEI animation. We know that Shueisha plans to announce a new project related to the franchise by the end of the year, but it's not yet possible to pinpoint exactly what it is.
Anyway if DB Super 2 has really been announced, what can we expect? Last season began by re-proposing the last two films in a television key, a choice much criticized at the time but essential to presenting Whis, Beerus and the return of Freeza. On the other hand, in addition to the adaptation of the latest manga sagas, there are currently two films that TOEI has released in recent years: "Broly" and "Super Hero". Both have interesting elements as we see the story rewritten by Broly and Baddack with the latter being a very important passage in the light Saga of Survivor Granolah. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, on the other hand, brings Gohan and Piccolo back into fashion with new power-ups, so it seems legitimate to somehow expect another canonization wish.
In our opinion, it is therefore to be expected that the studio will decide to re-propose the last two feature films, presumably in 2D for stylistic reasons, in the form of narrative arcs in the new anime. And you, on the other hand, what do you think of our considerations? Tell us yours with a comment below.
