The seven deadly sins is an action fantasy manga that ended in 2020. Since the first chapters, published in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2012, the work has been a great success, which allowed the author Nakaba Suzuki to write the sequel Four Knights of Apocalypse, whose anime has already been officially announced.

Just in anticipation of the anime of the new series, we wrote a short summary of The Seven Deadly Sins and its seasons. Today we’re going to talk about one of the most talked about characters in the series that fans often ask questions about: Who is Merlin from The Seven Deadly Sins?

To answer this question, we have to start from the beginning: Merlin was born in Belialuin, the capital of the sorcerers, neutral in the conflict between the Clan of Goddesses and the Clan of Demons. She was introduced to the path of magic by her father and the wizard Gowther. Merlin is also endowed with a very powerful and unique magic.

One day, fed up with the studies imposed by his father, Merlin escapes from Belialuin and then makes the acquaintance of Meliodas , a member of the Demon Clan. After a love disappointment received from the latter, Merlin returns Belialuin , where he continues to train his magic. After news of the birth of a wondrous child endowed with infinite magic reaches the ears of the Demons and Goddess Clan, the two factions begin a feud in order to have Merlin on their side in the war. to realize that she possesses that power.

The girl manages to deceive both factions, gaining favors from both sides and thus tainting herself with the sin of gluttony. Merlin manages to escape from Belialuin, cursed by both the Demon and Goddess Clans, and years later becomes part of the Clan along with Meliodas Seven Deadly Sins .

In that kind of story Merlin – The Origins we have collected in chronological order the first events surrounding the sorceress Merlin, who will then be the focus of The Seven Deadly Sins
