While Megatron confronts Galvatron, an alternate version of himself transformed by Unicron’s power, Optimus Prime also had to face his nemesis.
Nemesis Prime is a dark version of the Autobot leader who retains all of his powers and personality while maintaining a decidedly darker design. When it comes into play, it reveals that it is from an alternate timeline where Unicron turned Optimus into his slave, just like he did with Megatron / Galvatron.
