The virtual YouTubers Unit VWP (Virtual Witch Phenomenon) continues to expand its influence in Japan’s entertainment industry with the release of two new musical videos tied to their participation in the anime Kamitsubaki City Under Construction.
Official Videoclips for Opening and Ending
The group posted the video clip of “Utahime”, its twentieth-fourth digital single, which serves as the anime’s opening theme. They also launched the video clip of “Tsuioku”, its twenty-fifth single, used as the ending theme for episode 0. Both songs are now available on digital platforms: “Utahime” was released on July 4, and “Tsuioku” on July 9. The CD version, including both themes, will be sold in Japan on July 30.

In an innovative twist, the five VWP members also voice the protagonists of the series:

- Rime Tanioki as RIM
- Haru Asanushi as Harusaruhi
- Sekai Yorukawa as Isekajoucho

A futuristic world full of darkness
The anime Kamitsubaki City Under Construction, which premiered on July 3, is streamed globally by Crunchyroll in regions like Europe, Latin America, Africa, and beyond. The story follows humanity seven years after a global catastrophe, where Kamitsubaki City thrives through scientific progress. However, new threats emerge: creatures called Tesseractors, born from human darkness. A group of five girls, the “Witchlings”, wield magical voices to confront these entities. Each song represents a battle to save the world—and heal it.
