The phenomenon of the year Tokyo Avenger by Ken Wakui, has just been confirmed to produce a second season of anime. To celebrate this glorious event, four different artists took on the arduous task of stylistically illustrating the protagonists on the pages of Bessatsu Friends, Kodansha’s monthly magazine.
Readers will find a wonderful edition in the next issue of the Japanese magazine Infographic with the main characters the work of Ken Wakui, from the protagonist Takemitchy to the celebrities of Toman and former rival Hanma.
In addition, four authors paid tribute to colleague Ken Wakui by creating great, unedited sketches based on his work. The first of them is drawn by Naruki, Mangaka by Megane Tokidoki Yankee-kun. This illustration is dedicated to Tetta Kisaki’s subordinate, Shuji Hanma, who touches his right shoulder and shows the “Sin” tattoo on his left hand.
The second work of art that we find on Bessatsu Friends is from Rin Mikimoto, Pen of Kiss me at the Stroke of Midnight. The sketch is dedicated to Chifuyu, who the community fell in love with after the events of the final narrative arc of the first season anime. Baji’s sketch is also dedicated to the second of Ayu Watanabe, responsible for L-DK and Arashi-kun no dakimakura.
The latest tribute to Tokyo Revengers that we’ll find in the next issue of the magazine Kodansha is of Kiui Tokina, Author of Usokon. This artwork is dedicated to the couple holding Toman, Captain Mikey-kun and their second Draken.
