Much of the praise for the incredible wave of success that has swept it away Tokyo Avenger is due to the characterization of characters like Mikey, Draken and Takemichi. Manjiro Sano’s birthday is celebrated on August 20th: Here is the gift from the author Ken Wakui.
Falling in love with Mikey is almost impossible. Calm, but anger at the same time. Shy and helpless, but invincible in battle. Manjiro Sano, Founding leader of Tokyo Manji Gang, it is not just a guide for his companions, but a real reference point for the whole community.
On the occasion of his birthday party on August 20th, Ken Wakui created a spectacular work of art. The illustration shows Mikey surrounded by Division captains of Toman. Below, from left to right, we find Baji, Kawata, aka Smiley, and Mitsuya. On the left flank appears to be Muto, while on the right, although his face cannot be seen, the unmistakable Ken Ryuguji, the second in command, can be seen.
Mikey is then also the focus of the Cover of volume 24 by Tokyo Revengers. The picture, which you can find in the tweet at the end of the article, shows a young Manjiro in ceremonial attire that vaguely resembles the Toman uniform.
