On September 16, the birthday of Kazutora Hanemiya, the great protagonist of the battle known as Bloody Halloween, is celebrated. At the same time, Ken Wakui’s work celebrates an important milestone, the achievement of 600,000 followers on the official Twitter account. Here are two thematic sketches by the author of Tokyo Avenger!

Appeared in the early stages of the narrative arc Bloody Halloween, due to his unstable mentality, Kazutora soon became one of the most popular characters in fandom. Kazutora, one of the six founders of Toman, spent his final years in a youth school after a murder resulting from a failed robbery attempt. The victim of the ambush was Shinichiro Sano, Mikey’s older brother.

This murder marks forever the existence of Kazutora, who was once released from reformatory, also considered killing Mikey, he said he was guilty of the incident. However, Baji intervened between the two and decided to sacrifice himself in order to save his two friends.
To celebrate Kazutora’s birthday, Ken Wakui made a stunning illustration of where the boy is from above sits in his bedroom. The Valhalla uniform can be seen under the clothes hanging in the room.

With the anime series nearing the end of its first season, Tokyo Revengers has achieved unprecedented success. The official Twitter account has, in fact 600,000 followers reached, a milestone celebrated by Wakui with a sketch that i six founders of Tokyo Manji Gang. In this second illustration, Pah-chin, Mitsuya, Draken, Baji, Mikey, and Kazutora are finally reunited, with the latter two closing in an embrace that puts an end to their personal war.
