2023 promises to be full of contentment TOHO animation, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The brand new Trigun Stampede production will be released in January, the trailer of which showed an innovative use of 3DCG that was immediately appreciated by some fans but, like all novelties, was greatly hated by the purists of the original work.
Trigun Stampede, but not only: TOHO Animation also produced Ride Your Wave with Maasaki Yuasa, weathering with you and Your name with Makoto Shinkai and harmony with Michael Arias and Takashi Nakamura. In addition, the Chiyoda-based studio has been involved in the distribution of numerous popular animes in recent years, such as Demon Slayer - The Mugen Train and My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.
For the For its 10th anniversary, TOHO Animation has decided to release 5 animated short filmswithin the project named "TOHO Animated Music Films". As we can read in the Facebook post de The soul of animation, the shorts will be released in spring 2023 and will see several animators at work. TOHO has already released several details about the shorts, which we show below:
