Summary for The Legendary Hero is Dead!
Far to the north of the world lies the Gates of Hell, a portal once used by the Demon Lord to invade the human realm. Thanks to the legendary hero Shion Bladearts, bearer of Excalibur, and his faithful fellowship, the gate has been sealed and the demonic menace defeated. Unfortunately, the seal was incomplete and has started to weaken, allowing the demons to attack again. Concerned for the safety of his village, selfish and perverted farmer Touka Scott digs traps to ward off demons. But fear not, because Shion is on his way to close the gates of hell again and save humanity.
Or at least he was, as the legendary hero is dead after falling into one of the traps Touka dug. Luckily, dealing with the dead is Necromancer Anri Haynesworth’s specialty. Though unable to revive him, Anri is at least able to salvage her mission by forcing Touka’s soul into Shion’s rotting body and dragging him into Hell’s Gates instead. Yuna Yunis, Touka’s childhood friend, doesn’t want to be left behind and accompanies him. Together, the three set out as the most unfit group to try and save the world.
