Baddack became one of the main characters of the manga Dragon Ball great thanks to the constant hints and flashbacks to the invasion of the planet Cereal by the Saiyans, the proximity to Monaito and Granolah, and above all his intense clash with Gas, the Heeter, which causes many problems for the protagonists in the present.
Despite Monaito’s insistence, Baddack, as a pure Saiyan, chose to stay on Cereal to fight against Gas instead of returning to the planet Vegeta, although from the first moments the opponent proved incredibly above his fighting abilities. After a series of well-aimed punches Gas even manages to rip off Baddack’s tailan event that immediately provoked strong reactions from the community.
The loss of the tail appears to go against what is shown in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film released in 2018 Baddack makes his official debut in the canon narrative and where he appears with the aforementioned tail while attempting to defend planet Vegeta from Freeza. According to the information that has surfaced on the series, if the tail is snapped it can grow back, but that was specifically stated when a Saiyan manages to overcome the power level of their Oozaru form while it no longer has its tail, regeneration would not occur.
Given the mysterious power that Baddack awakened during the fight and that allowed him to win, it would seem natural to go for the second situation. Because of this the scene shown in the feature film should have changed according to some, although this fragment of Bardock’s story was written long after the film’s release.
