The Japanese portal Oricon reported the first compiled Blu-ray volume of the game’s anime adaptation for smartphones Princess Connect! Re: diving has sold a total of 31,669 copies less than two weeks after its launch. The volume went on sale in Japan on August 7th.
The anime premiered on April 6 and had a total of thirteen episodes. Cygames previously announced that Princess Connect! Re: Dive would be the continuation of the game Princess Connect! released in 2016. Production for a second season has been confirmed, but a premiere date has not been announced.
In addition, the game inspired a manga adaptation with the story of Asahiro Kakashi and with art from wEshica / ShΕgo. The manga will be published on the free manga platform Cycomicswhile the publisher Kodansha released the second compiled volume in December 2018.
