Synopsis for The Eminence in the Shadows

Big heroes and fiendish villains are the kind of characters people crave, but that’s not the case with Cid Kagenou. He aspires to become the mastermind behind it all, pull the strings and use his machinations to advance the whole story. In his previous life in Japan, he could not achieve his goals, but now, reborn in a world of magic, he will show the true eminence of the shadow! While pretending to be just another filler character, Cid recruits members of his (fake) organization, Shadow Garden, with the goal of defeating a mysterious cult that lurks in the shadows. His (fake) organization against the disgusting (but surprisingly real) Cult of Diabolos.
