The Bizarre Adventures of JoJo: First trailer for the ambitious live action on Kishibe Rohan

A few months ago, Japanese television broadcaster NHK announced the arrival of a live-action miniseries of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, centered on the character of Kishibe Rohan, which will air from December 28-30, 2020. Fans of the opera waited impatiently for new information and today, December 8th, The first trailer has finally appeared online.

We remind you that the spin-off on which the miniseries is based – written by Hiroiko Araki and Ballad Kitaguni – counts nine chapters self-contained, and that the live action of Kazutaka Watanabe will only suit three of them: The Village of Millionaires, Kushagara, and DNA.

On the anime front, the spin-off So Spoke Rohan Kishibe will receive an OAV adaptation in spring 2021, the distribution of which will be entrusted to Netflix. Only time will tell which of the two transpositions is most loyal to the work of Hiroiko Araki, even if the audience is historically Japanese seems to like live action more.
