As part of the celebrations surrounding the franchise berserk this year the anime film trilogy Berserker: Ougon Jidai hen (Berserker: The Arc of the Golden Age) will be broadcast on television in Japan for the first time this year. The films will be titled “commemorative edition”, although at the moment the details of the newly released version have not been confirmed. The press release contained a promotional video and an image.
The version "commemorative editionThe film trilogy is part of a larger celebration of berserkwhich includes an exhibition of Kentarou Miura who is currently touring in Japan, as well as the release of the first chapter of the series written by Studio Gaga (Miura's team of assistants) under the watchful eye of a close friend of Miura's, Koji Morifollowing the death of the manga's creator last year.

Berserker Synopsis: Ougon Jidai-hen
In the kingdom of Midland, a mercenary named Guts roams the land, preferring a life of conflict to a life of peace. Though the odds are never in his favor, he is an unstoppable force, capable of defeating any opponent and wielding a massive sword larger than himself. One day, Griffith, the mysterious leader of the Band of the Hawk mercenary group, witnesses the might of the battle of the warrior and invites the wandering swordsman to join his squad. Guts declines the offer and challenges Griffith to a duel. To the latter's surprise, he is defeated and forced to join. Now Guts must fight alongside Griffith and his crew to help Midland defeat Chuder's empire. However, Griffith seems to have ulterior motives and desires something far greater than solving the war...
