The whole world knows Captain Tsubasa, this manga – and anime – came to us called Holly and Benji and is very popular to this day. Thanks to the work of the mangaka Yoichi Takahashi, published in Weekly Shonen Jump in the 80s but continuing to this day, many have moved closer to the world of football.
40 years after the birth of Captain Tsubasa, the brand is still alive and can look back on several collaborations. One of them is Barça X Shiseido FC, which, as you can see from the title itself, makes the mangaka collaborate with the well-known ones Futbol Club Barcelona, one of the most famous and successful teams in the world. In addition, this is one of the teams that Ozora Tsubasa played in during his football career and that he still fights in today.
I prepared Mangaka Takahashi Drawings of some Barcelona players for this new collaboration. In the tweet below we see Ozora Tsubasa in the top right corner while the other boxes are dedicated to the drawings of the most famous Barcelona players. There’s Sergi Roberto, followed by US defender Sergiño Dest. Gerard Piqué, the Uruguayan Ronald Araujo, the Portuguese Francisco Trincão and finally the most representative player of the team, Lionel Messi.
