The anime adaptation of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie finally has an official release date. The series will debut in Japan and will air on TV Asahi and 22 affiliated channels, from April 2, 2022. The announcement was accompanied by numerous details about the project as well as one Promotional key visual which shows the two main characters.
In the Doga Kobo animation studio, Ryota Itoh will direct the anime with Shohei Yamanaka serving as assistant director. Yoshimi Narita is considered to be responsible for the script, Kikuchi as the designer. Nasuo will play the opening theme while Yuki Nakashima will play the closing theme. In the latest additions to the Japanese cast include Misato Matsuoka, Rina Kidaka and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Nekozaki, Hachimitsu and Inuzaka.
The plot revolves around Shikimori, the perfect girl. She’s cute, funny, and sweet, but she has one cold and dark side this occurs in certain situations. Her friend Izumi loves to be around when that happens. Perfect for fans of Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate, this love story is streamed on Crunchyroll.
