In February 2006, the first volume of one of the Marvel Comics series that would soon become a cornerstone of today’s comics was released in the United States of America: Planet Hulk. Sixteen years later, the House of Ideas has finally announced the sequel, Worldbreaker, marking the return of author Greg Pak.
Accompanied by Manuel Garcia, the illustrator currently involved in the production of Devil’s Reign, Pak will invite readers a story set 1000 years in the future compared to the events narrated in the original story, but which will again see the planet Sakaar as the main location.
Here’s the official presentation from Marvel Comics: “Considered a modern day Marvel masterpiece, Planet Hulk tells the adventures of the Hulk on the alien planet Sakaar, where he was banished by the Illuminati. had history a crucial influence on the Hulk, which still resonates today and is capable of giving life to spin-offs and adaptations. Projected 1000 years into the future, a young green-skinned woman travels to Sakaar in search of the legendary Green Scarto ask her for help in rescuing her brother from a group of cultists.“
The description is followed by several questions, for example which Hulk will find the female protagonist and, most importantly, whether he turns out to be the savior Sakaarson or the dreaded worldbreaker.
