In April, the Blue Orchestra anime was announced, an anticipated adaptation of theWork by Makoto Akui which now has an official release date. The music series will debut in the Spring 2023 season.
Japanese broadcaster NHK posted one on its official social media Blue Orchestra official poster, an animated adaptation of Makoto Akui’s musical/drama manga series, due out spring next year. Among the spring 2023 releases we also find The Legendary Hero is Dead!.
Further details on the anime’s production have not yet been announced, although it has been revealed that a production supervision will be Jun Sakata (To your eternity, hands off Eizouken!). The animation studio and the staff who will take care of the adaptation will only be presented in the next few weeks.
Ao no Orchestra follows the events of the students Hajime Aono, a prodigy violinist who gave up his great passion for personal reasons in his second year of middle school. However, meeting Ritsuko Akine will make him rekindle his passion and join his high school’s orchestra club. Akui’s manga series was was introduced in Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in 2017 and currently has ten volumes published in Japan.
