Time for big changes for the Pokémon TCG: although the release of the Zenith Regale expansion has just ended, we are already talking about the first set dedicated to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which will be released in March. However, it appears that a real one is about to materialize in mid-2023 back to the basics of the Pokémon card game.

A series of leaks reported by PokéGuardian actually state that The Pokémon Company will be releasing one on June 16, 2023Expansion dedicated to the first 151 Pokemon of all timeor the little monsters from Bulbasaur to Mewtwo, the "historical" protagonists of the first generation of video games and the TCG.

According to the leaks, the set should be called "Scarlet & Violet Expansion Pack Pokémon Card 151": At the moment it is not clear if that is itanother celebratory set of Kanto Pokémon or if we are confronted with something completely different instead, even if the branding regarding the first 151 little monsters seems to dispel any doubt about it. In addition, the release of the expansion is also mysterious, which could be limited to the Japanese OCG or also make a debut in standalone in the West.

We know from the leaks that the The set contains 165 cards plus an unknown number of thwart, which could bring the total between Pokemon, Energy, Support cards, and Trainers to around 180-200 total cards. Obviously, 151 of these will be dedicated to the full Kanto Pokédex. Also, the set seems to be sold direct in booster boxes with 20 packets each at a price of 5,800 yen (about 41 euros).

So alongside the set there will be two special collections, one dedicated to Poké Balls, which should therefore be one of the expansion's support cards, and one dedicated to with Charizard, Venusaur and Blastoisethe final forms of the three Starter from Kanto.
