On the official page for animated light novels by Toshio Satou and illustrated by Nao Watanuki, Tatoeba Last dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi by Kurasu Youna Monogatari ((Suppose a kid from recent dungeon boonies moved to a starter town?) the distribution information for the compiled Blu-ray / DVD volumes was released, which also confirmed that the series will have a total of twelve episodes.
- Volume 1 (episodes 1 to 3) – March 26, 2021.
- Volume 2 (Episodes 4-6) – April 28, 2021.
- Volume 3 (episodes 7 to 9) – May 28, 2021.
- Volume 4 (Episodes 10-12) – June 30, 2021.
The series premiered on January 4th in Japan and simultaneously on the platform Funimation in Mexico and Brazil after the COVID-19 pandemic was delayed from its originally planned October 2020. Eventually, Satou and Watanuki began publishing the light novels through the publishing label GA Bunko from the publisher SB Creative in February 2017.

- Jin Aketagawa directs the sound during Michiru ((Given, Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Zahm ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen) composes the soundtrack.
- Haruka Yamazaki plays the opening song entitled “Tatoeba Sore wa Yuuki no Mahou” with lyrics by KOTOKO, a composition of Shinki orito and arrangements of Kazuya Takasewhile the group Luce Twinkle Wink ☆ plays the final song entitled “I’mpossible?”

Lloyd is a rookie adventurer whose dream is to discover “true strength” in the capital, which he has always admired despite growing up with neighbors who always thought he was weak. The story begins with him leaving his hometown, which is right next to … one of the most dangerous dungeons in the world ?! Lloyd may think he’s powerless, but when he goes to the town that serves as the start city for adventurers, the difference between him and everyone else couldn’t be more obvious!
