CoMix Wave films, the animation studio Shinkai works for, announced the imminent arrival of new information about the director’s next film work a few days ago, a promise that has now finally been kept. With a first poster of Suzume no Tojimari, the director therefore presented to the world the project that he has been working on for several years and that will have the arduous task of conquering the audience like the latest films from Makoto Shinkai.
However, an official plot of the film has already been announced and reads as follows: “One day, a 17-year-old girl who lives in a quiet town meets a boy who is looking for a mysterious door. So he decides to follow him until the two discover a hidden door in the mountains. Suzume decides to open the door and at the same time many other doors from all over Japan open. However, each of these doors brings with it different disasters and calamities, which is why they must be closed. This is the story of Suzume’s journey in search of that door that closes. “
