On the official site for the animated adaptation of light novels by Clay coke and illustrated by Hiro, Super boythe second promotional image of the project was published. The series premieres on April 7th in Japan Funimation will take care of its distribution in the west.

Koken and Hiro publish the light novels through the publisher's label Bunko sneaker from the publisher Kadokawa since May 2017 with six volumes so far. A manga adaptation by Kanita is published by the magazine Comic Newtype since December 2017.

  • Toshirou fujii ((18if, Small steps) is responsible for the direction of the anime in Studio KAI ((Mushikago not a cagaster, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2).
  • Toshizou nemoto ((Bakuten !!, Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou, Log horizon) is responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Tooru Imanishi ((Girly Air Force, Ragnastrike angel, Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii Desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu ka?) is responsible for the character design.
  • Tomohisa Ishikawa ((Appleseed Saga Ex Machina, Innocent Venus, Kurokami The animation) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.
  • Akane Kumada plays the opening song entitled "Mahou no Kaze" while the lead is cast, including Yuki Yomichi, Ayaka Nanase and Natsumi hioka, will play the final song entitled "Haru e no Dengon".

Super Cub Synopsis

The story revolves around Koguma, a high school girl in Yamanashi. She has no parents, friends or hobbies and her daily life is empty. One day, Koguma receives a used Honda Super Cub motorcycle. This will be her first time riding a motorcycle to school. Running out of gas and avoiding a crash becomes a small source of adventure for Kagura's empty life. She is happy with her new life until her classmate Reiko tells her that she has a motorcycle too.
